PT Santomo Biomass Indonesia and CV Sumber Pangan are proud to announce their participation in the 3rd AZEC (Asia Zero Emission Community) Ministerial Meeting at the MoU Ceremony, held on October 17, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event gathered key representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan and delegates from various ASEAN countries, reinforcing the commitment to regional collaboration in advancing clean energy and sustainable industry transformation.
During the ceremony, PT Santomo Biomass Indonesia, represented by Ms. Rumi Hoshino (President Director), and CV Sumber Pangan, represented by Mr. Yimmy Stephanoes (President Director), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a strategic project focused on the utilization of rice residues — particularly rice bran and rice husk.
This partnership aims to transform agricultural byproducts into renewable energy resources and sustainable material solutions, promoting circular economy practices and reducing environmental impact in Indonesia’s rice production industry.
By utilizing rice residues such as rice bran and rice husk, we are unlocking local resources to create sustainable value and long-term environmental impact.
The cooperation between PT Santomo Biomass Indonesia and CV Sumber Pangan will explore innovative technologies for biomass processing and potential applications in bio-based fuel and sustainable materials. This initiative is aligned with the AZEC framework, which promotes collaboration between Japan and ASEAN countries to accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon, sustainable society.
The signing of this MoU marks an important milestone for both companies in their shared mission to enhance agricultural waste utilization and contribute to the Asia-Pacific region’s vision of a zero-emission future.
